Monica and Rick Boester
Monica has had pet birds for a number of years and was instrumental in getting Rick in to birds also. Rick always had a desire to have parrotlets because of a man from Freeport, IL. after spending around an hour buying fish, took out a parrotlet out of his pocket he had been carrying with him and set it on the table. The bird started jumping around saying " hello, hello hello" and he was hooked. The parrotlet was so cute and adorable Rick made up his mind there and then that someday he would have a parrotlet.
After a pet Blue and Gold Macaw ( Madison ) and a Timnah African grey ( Jazz ), it was time for a parrotlet. As Rick has been successfully breeding African Cichlids and plecos for over 30 years and his wife now for around 10 years, it is no wonder they went right in to breeding parrotlets.
